Montblanc Summit 3 launches with a premium smartwatch design and Wear OS 3

The new watch from the German brand offers luxury finishes, blood oxygenation reader and support for payments via Google Pay

For a long time, the Galaxy Watch 4 was the only smartwatch with Wear OS 3 of artifacts. Now, Google’s new operating system is available in another model with a Qualcomm processor: the Montblanc Summit 3. The new luxury watch from the German brand features a titanium body, blood oxygen level reader, multiple dials and Google Pay support. The wearable arrives in July for $ 1,290.

The Montblanc Summit 3 relies on a more traditional rounded design, with a titanium body and rubber and leather strap options. On the side there is a rotating crown and two buttons for navigation.

Inside, consumers find a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor, which is a requirement to run the new Wear OS. Montblanc hasn’t released any information on battery life, but other models from the brand often stay away from the charger for a day.

The smartwatch supports turn-by-turn navigation on Google Maps, heart rate sensor, blood oxygen level reader and Google Pay compatibility for contactless payments. The watch app provides sleep tracking function and various watch faces to customize the interface.

While not confirmed by Montblanc, the images suggest the Summit 3 offers an almost “pure” version of Wear OS 3, unlike the Galaxy Watch 4 which made changes to the One UI Watch. With this, you can notice some details of the system, such as the recent application area and the animation of the oxygenation meter.

price and availability

Montblanc Summit 3 will be available in the United States starting July 15. Those interested can buy it directly on the manufacturer’s website for $ 1,290. The company ships the watch in “sustainable paper packaging” and says it is compatible with “a wide range of tools to maximize the life cycle experience.”

It is worth mentioning that this smartwatch has already been approved by Anatel. Therefore, there is a good chance it will be released in Brazil soon. There is no pricing information yet, but considering the Summit 2 retails for R $ 6,500, similar or higher value is expected.
